A 14 year old school boy has been charged with a number of offences including robbery, attempted robbery, possession of a knife and possession of a firearm.
He is expected to appear at Belfast Youth court on Friday, September 70.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges follow a number of incidents in the Donegall Place and Library Street areas of Belfast city centre on Sunday morning, August 12.
A 17 year old male who was also arrested remains in custody at present.
