DETECTIVES have charged two people after police stopped a car this week and found £30,000 of drugs in the boot.
A 21 year old male has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply, three counts of possession of a class B controlled drug and two counts of possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
A 21 year old female has been charged with two counts of possession of a class B controlled drug and two counts of possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
They are expected to appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court this morning, Wednesday, July 25, for a first remand hearing.
The charges are in connection with the seizure of cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately £30k after police stopped a car on the Armagh Road in Portadown at around 1.30pm on Monday afternoon.
The BMW car was seized and a number of further items were recovered in follow up searches at two houses.
