DETECTIVES have charged two men following an assault on a man in the Cathedral Quarter area of Belfast on Saturday, June 2.

The man was assaulted outside licensed premises in Gordon Street.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was described as serious.

The men, aged 39 and 33, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both are due at Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow Monday, June 4, for a first remand hearing.
