CIGARETTES STOLEN IN BURGLARY AT COMMERCIAL PREMISES

DETECTIVES in Lisburn area appealing for information following the report of a burglary at commercial premises in Dundonald during the early hours of yesterday morning, Wednesday, 23 May. 

Detective Constable O’Neill said: “Police received a report at approximately 1:20 am that entry had been forced to the premises on the Old Dundonald Road.

“A quantity of cigarettes were reported stolen. It’s believed this occurred sometime between 1 am and the time it was reported to us.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time and noticed any suspicious activity, or anyone who has been offered cigarettes for sale in suspicious circumstances to get in touch.

“I would appeal to drivers who were in the area around this time who have a dash cam fitted in their vehicle to check their footage.

“Anyone with information they believe may help our investigation is asked to contact detectives at Lisburn on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 60 of 23/05/18.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
