POLICE investigating a brutal bus lane attack have arrested a man wanted in connection with the incident.
Gerard Donegan was wanted for question over an incident of assault and criminal damage in west Belfast last month.
The 37 year old Gerard Donegan was detained today on suspicion of criminal damage, common assault and grievous bodily harm.
He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
However, as Mr Donegan was unlawfully at large after his licence was revoked by the Department of Justice on 21 April, he has now been returned to prison.
The arrest follows an incident on the Falls Road in Belfast on 17 April, when a man and woman were assaulted and a bus lane camera vehicle damaged.
