DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Branch have today carried out searches at two addresses in relation to dissident republican activity. 

Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Griffin said: “We removed a number of items during today’s searches in the Benburb area of Tyrone , including a quantity of explosives, which will now be the subject of further examination.

“This operation today has removed these dangerous items from our communities and undoubtedly saved lives.

“We will continue in our efforts to disrupt terrorists and the crimes and activities they are involved in.”
