WOMAN CHARGED AFTER MAN KNOCKED DOWN IN NORTH BELFAST

A 29 year old female has been charged with causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving.

She is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court next month.

The charges are in connection with a road traffic collision on Ballysillan Road during the early hours of Sunday 22 April.

A male pedestrian in his 40s was taken to hospital with severe head and facial injuries.

The injuries have been described by police as “life-changing” but “not life threatening.
