KNIFE-WIELDING THUG HUNTED OVER OFF-LICENCE ROBBERY

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery of an off-licence on Crumlin Road in north Belfast last night, Saturday, March 17. 

It was reported that shortly after 9pm a man, carrying a knife, entered the premises and threatened staff before making off with a quantity of cigarettes and bottles of spirits.

The male is described as being aged in his 40’s and had a number of teeth missing.

He was carrying a black rucksack and white plastic bags.

Detective Sergeant Gardiner is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference 1392 of 17/03/18.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
