The Irish golf marketing company was attending the Honda Classic to fly the flag for some of the finest golf courses in the north and west regions of Ireland, including Ballyliffin, host venue for this year’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, Royal Portrush, host venue for The Open in 2019, Carne, Enniscrone, Donegal, Narin & Portnoo, Rosapenna, Castlerock, Portstewart, Ardglass, Galway Bay, Westport and Portsalon. North & West Coast Links also donated a prize to the charity auction at the star-studded dinner which was attended by many of the world’s best PGA Tour players.

MAJOR golf winners Jack Nicklaus and Sir Nick Faldo were amongst the golfing legends to take an interest in Irish links golf at this year’s Honda Classic event in Florida.

Golf marketing company, North & West Coast Links Golf Ireland, was flying the flag for Irish golf at the event, showcasing some of the best links courses in the north and west regions of Ireland through its new brochure and website www.northandwestcoastlinks.com.

Sir Nick Faldo is no stranger to golfing in the north west of Ireland, having redesigned the magnificent Old Course at North & West Coast Links Golf member club, Ballyliffin Golf Club, host venue for this year’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Open –  a tournament for which the golfing superstar has the unique distinction of holding the record for most consecutive wins at the Irish Open, winning it three times in a row from 1991.

North & West Coast Links Golf has been in Florida to tee up interest in bespoke golf tour packages to some of the top links courses Ireland has to offer, including Ballyliffin,  Royal Portrush, host venue for The Open in 2019, Carne, Enniscrone, Donegal, Narin & Portnoo, Rosapenna, Castlerock, Portstewart, Ardglass, Galway Bay, Westport and Portsalon.

North & West Coast Links Golf CEO John McLaughlin said: “We had a great time at this year’s Honda Classic and it was phenomenal to see golfing icons like Jack Nicklaus and Sir Nick Faldo take a real interest in Irish golf.

The Honda Classic was one of a succession of events over the next three months that will see North & West Coast Links Golf promote Irish links golf in Germany, Toronto, Sweden, Denmark and Great Britain.

Over the course of 2018, North & West Coast Links Golf will target the UK, US, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand and selected Asian Markets, taking part in over 30 International shows and events in its efforts to grow the valuable international golf visitor numbers to Ireland.
