DETECTIVES have charged a 22 year old man with child abduction.

He is expected to appear before Omagh Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, February 13.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charge is in connection with an incident in the Cookstown area on Sunday 11 February when police received a report of a missing teenage girl.

The girl returned home on Monday, February 12.

It is believed the girl was in the company of the suspect during the time she was missing.
