DETECTIVES in Belfast are appealing for information following an attempted robbery from a woman in the Wellesley Avenue area of Belfast last night (Tuesday, 31 January).
Detective Sergeant Parker said “Shortly before 9:10 pm it was reported that a male on a bicycle approached a woman producing a handgun and demanding money from her.
“The woman was able to make off and shortly after police arrested a 21 year old male on suspicion of armed robbery.
“He is currently in custody.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 1364 of 30/01/18.
