A 32-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man.
The man, 51, died in the Dublin Road area of Newry on Wednesday.
The accused also faces a number of drug charges, including having heroin with intent to supply.
He is expected to appear at Newry Magistrates Court on Thursday for a first remand hearing.
As part of the investigation, detectives arrested four men (56, 46, 34 & 32) and a women (50) on suspicion of drug-related offences, including Possession of a Class A controlled drug, namely heroin, with intent to supply.
The arrests follow a search of a property in the city yesterday.
