DETECTIVES have charged two men over an investigation into a spate of burglary and theft offences.
They were arrested in the Ballymena area on Wednesday as part of an investigation into a series of domestic and commercial burglaries and a robbery carried out in the Ballymena and Larne areas between the 13th and 17th June 2017.
Police say a 22 year old man has been charged with robbery, two counts of attempted burglary, handling stolen goods & assault occasioning actual bodily harm
A 36 year old man has been charged with robbery, attempted burglary, burglary, theft , fraud by false representation, handling stolen goods and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Both men have also been reported to the PPS for a number of offences relating to burglaries during the same period.
Both are due at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today for a first remand hearing.
