KNIFE-WIELDING SHOP ROBBER CHARGED COURT OVER HOLD-UPS

DETECTIVES have charged a 30 year old man with robbery, attempted robbery and attempted theft. 

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrowMonday 04 December.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges are in connection with a robbery of a shop in Castle Street in Belfast city centre yesterday morning and the attempted robbery of a shop on Kennedy Way in west Belfast yesterday evening, Saturday 02 December.

Following the botched robbery bid in Kennedy, he was later arrested by police in the Andersonstown Road area.
