Missing 80-year-old Margaret Beattie has now been found, say police

POLICE say that a missing pensioner has been found safe and well.

Earlier today, police and the family of missing 80 year old Margaret Beattie said they were becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

She was last seen in the Ballygowan Road area of Belfast at 3.30 pm yesterday, Wednesday, 25 October.

Margaret would frequent Belfast city centre and Larne.

She also has family in the Carrickfergus area.

But in an updated statement, the PSNI now say: “Missing 80 year old Margaret Beattie has been found safe and well in Scotland. 

“Thank you to everyone for their help and support.”
