MAN CHEATS INJURY AFTER SHOTS FIRED AT HOUSE IN NORTH BELFAST

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following a shooting incident in north Belfast last night.

Thereckless attack happened in Upper Meadow Street around 7.25 pm. 

Two shots were fired at the front door of a house in the area.

A man, aged in his 30’s, who was in the house at the time was not injured but left shaken buy his ordeal.

Detective Sergeant Kelly said: “Whilst nobody was injured as a result of this shooting it was a reckless act that could have easily resulted in death or serious injury and yet another example of how criminal groups seek to control communities through fear and violence.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference 1186 of 11/10/17.

“Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
