THUG ARRESTED AFTER FOUR CARS DAMAGED IN SOUTH BELFAST RAMPAGE

POLICE in South Belfast investigating damage to four parked cars in the early hours of this morning.

The vandalism spree happened in the University Avenue, Dudley Street, the Cloisters and Rugby Avenue areas of south Belfast.

PSNI officers who responded arrested a 25 year old male, who is currently assisting with enquiries.

Constable Hanvey said, “Police responded to a call from a member of the public about a male damaging a car in south Belfast just after 5.15am this morning.

“Police attended and arrested a 25 year old male nearby.

“But we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any cars being damaged, or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact Police at Musgrave Process Team on 101, quoting reference number 146 of 31 August.

“Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
