DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation carried out a number raids last night in west Belfast.

The PSNI say the operation in the Andersonstown area of the city was targeting violent dissident republican activity.

A firearm, a quantity of cash along with a small amount of suspected drugs were seized.

The items have been taken away for forensic examination.
