DETECTIVES have charged three males, aged 17, 18 and 48, with aggravated burglary and inflicting grievous bodily harm, criminal damage, possessing offensive weapon in public place and threats to kill.

They are expected to appear before Dungannon Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 24 July. 

The charges are in connection with an incident at an address in Birneys Square in Coalisland on Saturday evening, 22 July.

A female, aged in her 40’s, suffered an injury to her head after being struck with a golf club when a number of people were reported to have forced their way into a house.

Detectives continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Cookstown on 101 quoting reference number 1082 of 22/07/17.
