TEENAGER QUIZZED OVER ATTACK ON THREE MALES IN WEST BELFAST

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an altercation between a number of persons in a park.

The incident happened close to Lagmore Avenue in west Belfast on Friday night, July 7. 

It was reported that shortly before 8.30 pm a number of males were involved in an altercation in the area.

A 26 year old male sustained a laceration to his head.

A 19 year old male sustained a cut to his arm.

And a 15 year old male sustained a puncture wound to his shoulder.

All three males received treatment in hospital for their injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

A 19 year old man was arrested in the west Belfast area yesterday, Saturday 08 July, on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.

He was interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist police with their investigation to contact officers in Woodbourne Police Station on 101 quoting reference 1269 of 07/07/17.
