‘WAKING The Dead’ detectives have released a man they arrested over the IRA murder of James Gibson 35 years ago.
The 50-year-old victim, a widowed father-of-seven, was shot by masked men when he stopped his bus to let children off in Coalisland on December 2, 1982.
The PSNI’s Legacy Investigation Branch detained a 54-year-old man on Monday and he was taken to the serious crime suite at Musgrave police station in Belfast.
The suspect – who was 19 at the time of the murder – was released him on Tuesday evening.
He will now bee reported by way of a file to the Public Prosecution Service.
