DETECTIVES from the PSNI’S Major Investigation Team (MIT)  have launched a murder investigation after the death of a teenager in Belfast city centre last night.

The man stabbed in the Downshire Place area, off Great Victoria Street.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and is currently being held in the PACE custody suite at Musgrave PSNI station for questioning.

Police have not yet released the name and age of the victim.
