POLICE MAKE FRESH ARREST OVER UDA FEUD MURDER OF COLIN HORNER

UDA murder victim Colin Horner shot dead in Bangor on Sunday as he was getting into his car

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team (MIT) probing the UDA feud murder murder of Colin Horner have made a fresh arrest overnight.

A 46-year-old man was arrested in the North Down area on Friday night.

A polise spokesperson said: “Detectives investigating the murder of Colin Horner in Bangor on Sunday 28 May have arrested a 46-year-old man.

“He was arrested in the Bangor area on Friday night and remains in police custody at this time assisting officers with their enquiries.”

Mr Horner was gunned down in front of his three-year-old son at the car park in Sainsbury’s.

He was shot three times in a cold blooded execution.

On Friday, Alan James Wilson, from Ards was remanded in custody charged with murdering Mr Horner.

He was further accused of possessing a firearm with intent.

Two other men arrested in Ards earlier in the week have been released unconditionally.
