MAN TO FACE COURT CHARGED OVER STAB MURDER BID

DETECTIVES have charged a 27-year-old man with attempted murder after another man was seriously injured in a stabbing yesterday day morning.

The savage attack around 6.45 am at Antrim’s Rathmore Gardens.

The injured man is being treated at Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

The 27-year-old has also been charged with causing actual bodily harm, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning, May 29.

As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

Two women aged 19 and 31 who were also arrested have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on the 101 number.
