TWO QUIZZED OVER £300,000 COKE BUST

Suspects held at Musgrave PSNI station over £300,000 cocaine bust

DETECTIVES are questioning two men arrested after police seized what they believe to be cocaine worth an estimated £300,000.

The drugs bust appened near Doagh in Co Antrim on Friday afternoon following an intelligence led operation.

Prescription drugs with an estimated street value of £500 and money were also found, after officers stopped two vehicles on the Templepatrick Road.

The men, aged 27 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences and are currently in police custody.

They were detained under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act and are currently being held at Musgrave PSNI station’s PACE custody suite.

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: “This operation is yet another example of our determination to reduce the availability of this drug.

“I appeal to anyone who has any concerns or information about illegal drugs to contact police.”
