TWO ‘DRUG DEALERS’ TO FACE COURT OVER £300,000 COCAINE BUST

DETECTIVES have charged two men who were arrested after police seized what they believe to be cocaine worth an estimated £300,000.

The drugs bust appened near Doagh in Co Antrim on Friday afternoon following an intelligence led operation.

Prescription drugs with an estimated street value of £500 and money were also found, after officers stopped two vehicles on the Templepatrick Road.

The men, aged 27 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences and are currently in police custody.

They were detai.ned under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act and are currently being held at Musgrave PSNI station’s PACE custody suite.

They have now been charged with possession a Class A drug and and a Class A drug with intent to supply.

They are due before Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Saturday, May 20, for a first remand hearing

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: “This operation is yet another example of our determination to reduce the availability of this drug.

“I appeal to anyone who has any concerns or information about illegal drugs to contact police.”
