DETECTIVES have charged a man with money laundering and drugs trafficking offences.

The 53 year old is to face Belfast Magistrate’ Court this morning for a first remand hearing.

The charges are in relation to the arrest of a man near Sprucefield yesterday during an intelligence-led operation.

He was taken to the PACE custody suite at Musgrave Street PSNI station in Belfast and quizzed under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act and the Moneylaundering Act.
