TEEN BEATEN BY ARMED GANG WITH BASEBALL BATS IN SOUTH BELFAST

DETECTIVES are investigating after a teenager was beaten by a gang armed with baseball bats in south Belfast.

Police say the 17-year-old boy suffered facial injuries and fractures to his hands, shoulder and legs as a result of the attack, which happened in Maryville Street overnight.

The PSNI have described the horrific attack as a “reckless act”.

Officers ave asked anyone who was in the area between 1 am and 1.30 am on Thursday and witnessed what happened to get in touch.
