RESIDENTS have been allowed back to their homes in north Belfast after a security alert ended

The alert was sparked after a suspicious object was spotted in the Pacific Avenue area this morning.

The street was been closed whilst the object is examined.

Army Technical Officers went to the scene and sent in a robot to examine the object.

Police say the ATO has reported that the object was “nothing  untoward”.
