FOUR people, including a police officer and his knife-man killer, haave died in a terrorist incident near the UK’s Houses of Parliament, Scotland Yard has said.
A woman was among several pedestrians struck by a car on Westminster bridge, before it crashed into railings.
An officer was stabbed in the Houses of Parliament by an attacker, armed with several large knives, who was shot by police.
At least 20 people were injured, including three other officers.
It is understood some of those fighting for their lives have “catastrophic injuries”.
Prime Minister Theresa May is to chair a meeting of the government’s emergency Cobra committee later.
Parliament was suspended over what the deputy Commons speaker said was a “serious incident” after a police officer was fatally stabbed.
Houses of Parliament are this evening in complete lock down with MPs and Peers forced to stay behind closed doors.
A number of tourist attractions have also been shut down as a security precaution as London goes into high alert.
