SWEET-TOOTHED THIEVES HUNTED AFTER LORRY AND CONFECTIONERY STOLEN

POLICE are hunting thieves who stole a lorry and its load of sweets.

The theft happened at a yard in the Monaghan Road area of Middletown Co Armagh yesterday, Sunday, February 26.

The PSNI say it was reported that sometime between 3 pm and 6 pm, a parked car in the yard was broken into and keys for the lorry taken from the car, then used to steal the lorry.

The lorry was a blue Scania cab with a silver curtain side trailer containing a large quantity of confectionery goods.

Inspector Lynsey Barr has appealed for anyone with any information which could assist officers with their enquiries to contact police in Armagh on 101 quoting reference number 1016 26/02/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
