DETECTIVES are investigating the report of an aggravated burglary at a flat in the Black Mountain Place area of north Belfast in the early hours of yesterday morning,

The incident was reported to police at around 6.30 pm on Saturday evening but is believed to have occurred sometime after midnight on Saturday morning.

It was reported that a number of men entered the house and assaulted the male occupant who is aged in his 20’s.

The man was taken to hospital on Saturday evening and treated for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
