A 35-year-old man has been attacked by three masked men armed with bricks in east Belfast.

The attack, which told place in an alleyway at Lichfield Avenue, was reported to police just after 9.25 pm on Friday night.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

The PSNI are appealing for anyone with information to contact detectives on the 101 non-emergency number.
