MAN TO FACE COURT OVER £300,000 CANNABIS DRUGS BUST

A MAN is due in court this morning charged over the seizure of cannabis with a street value of about £300,000.

The drugs were discovered when a lorry was searched on Moorfields Road in Ballymena, Co Antrim, on May 7, 2016.

The 35-year-man was arrested in Manchester on Friday morning and brought to Northern Ireland for questioning by the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch.

He is due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today for a first remand hearing.

The alleged drug dealer faces charges of supplying a class B drug and being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.
