TWO Northern Ireland men and one from the Netherlands have been arrested as part of an international probe into tobacco smuggling and money laundering.

The arrests followed searches of a number of addresses in Etten Leur and Rotterdam, and counties Armagh and Tyrone.

Authorities found 30kgs of hand rolling tobacco, 50,000 cigarettes all believed to be illicit, computers and more than €317,000 in cash.

The Co Armagh men were interviewed and remain in custody as ongoing investigations continue.
