MAN KNOCKED DOWN AND CRITICALLY INJURED AT BELFAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

police-road-closed-newPOLICE are investigating after a man was knocked down and left critically injured by a vehicle close to Belfast International Airport.

He was walking on the Ballyrobin Road, Aldergrove, when the collision took place shortly before 4.40 pm on Saturday.

An Ambulance Service spokesperson said the pedestrian was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Ballyrobin Road has been closed from the airport to Tully Road roundabout.

Diversions are in place and police have advised motorists travelling to the airport to leave extra time for their journey.
