DETECTIVES are investigating after a man has been shot in West Belfast last night.

Dissident republicans shot the man, aged in his 30s, in a paramilitary style shooting in the Springview Walk area off

Police said that the man, in his 30s, was shot in the leg around 7.10 pm.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital but his injuries are not life threatening.

Detectives and a CSI team have visited the scene to carry out a forensic examination.
