TITANIC Belfast is in the running to be named as the best tourist attraction in the world.

The possible coveted title comes a month after it was named as the best in Europe last month.

The final decision on whether or not the Belfast attraction will win the Leading Tourist Attraction at the World Travel Awards 2016 will go down to a public vote.

But it is not a foregone conclusion that it will walk off with the top gong.

It faces stiff competition from other global attractions which include:

  • Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi
  • Guinness Storehouse, Dublin
  • Intramuros, Philippines
  • Las Vegas Strip, Nevada
  • Machu Picchu, Peru
  • Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
  • Sugarloaf Mountain, Rio

We wish Titanic Belfast the best of luck!
