POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS OVER SUSPICIOUS DEATH OF MAN

police scene pic new1DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team have arrested three men  following what police are describing as the suspicious death of a man.

The arrests were made following an incident at a property in Regent Street, Newtownards.

The man, who was in his 40s, was taken to hospital following the incident at Millers House shortly before 19:50 BST on Tuesday. He later died.

A post-mortem examination is due to be held. Two men, aged 35 and 42, and a 29-year-old woman have been arrested.

The officer leading the investigation Detective Inspector Will Tate of MIT said: “We are currently trying to establish what happened at Millers House last night that led to the death of this man.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the Regent Street area around the time of the incident to contact detectives at Newtownards Police Station on 101.”
