POLICE HUNT 6FT THUG WHO KNIFED MAN IN HIS OWN HOME

police crime scene pic 1DETECTIVES are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary.

The attack happened last week but police have only released details today.

Officer say that on Tuesday, July 19, at around 6 pm, a male walked into a house in the Ainsworth Avenue area of Belfast and attacked the occupier with a knife who received a stab wound to his arm.

The assailant is described as 6ft, medium build, aged approx 28 years old, wearing a grey Mackenzie hoody, blue jeans, light ginger hair.

Detective Inspector Nigel Snoddy would appeal to anyone who has information about this incident to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1415 of 19/07/16.

Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
