DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following a paramilitary gun attack in west Belfast.

The incident happened in Laurelbank area of Poleglass last night, Sunday, July 24.

Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne said; “At around 10.10pm a man in his 20’s was approached by four masked men in an entryway who ordered him to lie down prior to shooting him through the foot.

“He was later taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting serial 1290 24/7/16.
