TWO ARRESTED OVER WEST BELFAST CAR CHASE

police scene pic new1POLICE have arrested two men following a car chase involving a stolen vehicle in west Belfast.

The PSNI say that at around 1.40 am they received a report of a man breaking into a house in the Ashgrove area of DunmurryF.

He took the keys to the owner’s blue Ford B-Max car.

A short time later, the same car was spotted driving dangerously in the Seymour Hill area.

Trained police drivers pursued the stolen car along the Bell Steel Road to where it was abandoned at Woodside View.

Officers searched the area and as a result arrested two males for aggravated burglary, theft, aggravated vehicle taking and no insurance.

A PSNI spokesman asked anyone who saw the blue Ford car being driven in the Dunmurry area between 1.40 am and 2.15 am or has any information to call police at Woodbourne on 101, quoting the reference 143 17/07/16.
