DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have charged a man following the discovery of a viable device in north Belfast on Thursday.

The 28-year-old has been charged with possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.

A 29 year old female has been released pending a report to the PPS.

The male is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 18.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
