POLICE HUNT BURGLARS AFTER MONEY AND JEWELLERY STOLEN IN EAST BELFAST BREAK-IN

police scene pic new1POLICE are on the trail of thieves who stole money and jewellery during an east Belfast burglary.

Detectives are appealing for information following the incident at a house in the Edgcumbe View area off the Holywood Road on Sunday, July 10.

Officers say that some time between 12.50pm and 1.20pm the house was entered and a sum of money and a quantity of jewellery.

They say the jewellery taken includes:

Gold Chain with 6 garnets and a pearl

24 inch solid flat link gold chain

19 inch white and yellow gold chain

Garnet Earrings

3 sets gold earrings with Amethysts

Topaz and Diamond studded pendant on white gold chain

Citrine stone on gold pendant on gold chain

Peridot gold stud earrings and matching ring.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Natalie Moore is appealing to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or anyone who has information about this incident to contact detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave PSNI station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 884 10/07/16.

Alternatively information can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
