MAN ARRESTED OVER £3K HEROIN HAUL AND DISHONEST USE OF ELECTRICITY

PSNI DRUGS RAID 1POLICE have arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of possession of heroin and dishonest use of electricity.

The man was detained by the PSNI fter a planned search of a house in Ballymena on Saturday evening.

Constable Peter Kearney of Ballymena Crime Team said: “A quantity of heroin with an estimated street value of £2,700 was seized.

“We are determined to reduce the availability of this killer drug.

“I appeal to anyone who has any concerns or information about illegal drugs to contact their local Police on the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
