COPS are jubilant after taking £12,000 of heroin off the streets along with its dealers of death.

Two men aged 38 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences following a proactive operation by Belfast District Support Team today.

The 38 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of class A controlled drugs, possession of class A controlled drugs with intent to supply and conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.

The 23 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs and drugs importation.

Sergeant Barton said: “The men were arrested in the Holywood Road area on the morning of Wednesday 25 May and a quantity of suspected heroin, estimated at this time to be worth approximately £12,000 worth, was found and seized.

“The two men are currently at Musgrave Police Station assisting police with their enquiries.

“Anyone who knows anything about illegal drug use or supply in their area is asked to contact their local police station on the non-emergency number 101.”
