FIVE MEN ARRESTED OVER BURGLARY

police scene pic new1POLICE have arrested five males following a burglary yesterday.

The PSNI say details of a black Saab car were circulated to officers in South Area after it made off from police on Belfast Road, Newry around 9.35 am this morning, Thursday, May 19.

Officers on patrol in Tandragee stopped the car on Ballymore Road at 10.14 am.

Five men, two of them aged 18 years old, a 19 year old, a 30 year old and a 33 year old, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

This relates to a burglary in the Kernan Avenue area of Portadown on Wednesday, 18 May.

The men are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
