MEN HUNTED AFTER KEYS SNATCHED IN BELFAST HOUSE BURGLARY

Police sceneDETECTIVES are appealing for information following the report of an aggravated burglary at a house in south Belfast yesterday.

Police say a man answered a knock at his door at Fort Road off Lisburn Road around 9.50 pm.

When he opened the door, two men forced their way inside and placed the occupant in a room and searched the property.

They took two sets of keys and locked the house and left.

Police suspect a third man may have been involved.

The householder was not injured during this incident but was left very badly shaken.

Detective Sergeant Jim Johnston has appealed to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity or anyone who has any information about this incident to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Lisburn PSNI Station on the 101 non-emergency number 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
