HAVE-A-GO-HEROES HELP NAB ARMED ROBBER IN BELFAST CITY CENTRE

musgrave psniDETECTIVES are questioning a 30-year-old man after he was arrested following an armed robbery.

The incident happened at a fast food outlet in Belfast city centre after he was stopped by brave members of the public.

The man entered the takeaway premises on the Dublin Road armed with a screwdriver at around 10.15 this morning.

He threatened a staff member before making off with a sum of money.

It is understood that members of the public stopped the man before he was later arrested by the police.

He is currently being questioned at Musgrave PSNI station.
