ACC Stephen Martin warns of more arrests over Easter parades

POLICE have charged two men over rioting on Easter Monday.

Police say a 53-year-old man and a 30-year-old man have been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and obstruction.

It follows serious public disorder in the Kilwilkie estate in North Lurgan.

They are due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 25.

Two officers were injured when police came under attack with petrol bombs and other missiles during the disorder.

Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Martin said investigations were being carried out into parades across Northern Ireland at Easter.
